Mukhyamantri Yuva Swavalamban Yojana The Government of Gujarat has initiated Mukhyamantri Yuva Swavalamban Yojana to get financial assistance for bright and needy students to get admission in higher education courses.

Eligibility for assistance

1. The annual income of the guardian of the student who wants to avail the benefit of Thojna should not be more than 6,00,000 / -.

2. Students who get 80th or more percentile in standard 12 science stream or general stream examination for graduate level courses can avail the benefit of this scheme.

3. Students who get 80th or more percentile in standard 10 examination for level study courses in diploma can avail the benefit of this scheme.

4. Students who get admission in NRI seats in self-reliant courses are not eligible to get the benefit of this scheme.

Crisis Relief Scheme will provide assistance of Rs

Eligible assistance to meet
1. 50% amount of tuition fee or Rs. 2,00,000 / – as prescribed for self-reliant courses of government approved medical and dental institutes at graduation level.

2. 50% of the fixed annual tuition fee for graduate level professions or Rs. 25000 / – whichever is less.

3. Graduation course 50% of the prescribed annual tuition fee or Rs. Whichever is less.

4. 50% of the prescribed annual tuition fee or Rs. 25,000 / – for diploma self-reliant courses of a government recognized institution, whichever is more.

5. The number of students who get admission in general seats in government medical, dental, engineering colleges and the number of students in general category due to which they have to relocate and finally if they do not get admission in any government college and they have to get admission in self-reliant college. If so, the difference in tuition fees between the self-reliant college and the government college admitted under this scheme is eligible for assistance.

Tool book help
Rs.10,000 / – in the first year for equipment / book assistance to students enrolled in medical / dental undergraduate courses, Rs.5,000 / – in equipment / textbook assistance in first year for students enrolled in undergraduate courses in engineering / technology / pharmacy / architecture and Rs. -Rs. 3,000 is receivable. Tool-book assistance is only available once during the course period.
